The OceanStore Project
Providing Global-Scale Persistent Data
|
Welcome to OceanStore!
OceanStore is a global-scale persistent data store. It provides a
consistent, highly-available, and durable storage utility atop an
infrastructure comprised of untrusted servers.
OceanStore is developed at the University of California at
Berkeley. You can find our
publications and information about the developers at our local website,
http://oceanstore.cs.berkeley.edu.
Pond, the OceanStore prototype, is available here on SourceForge. You
can try either a binary release or check the source code out of CVS.
- Download a binary release.
Just the libraries and scripts necessary to play with the prototype.
- Download and build the source code.
A little more recent, a little less tested, but possibly
more stable. Our code is available under the BSD licence.
- View javadoc.
Documentation of the java code.
- View HelloWorld Exercise.
3 simple exercises to practice and to learn about how Pond uses the distributed directionary (DD) api.
When you're ready to run your own OceanStore, check out this HOWTO to learn how to get started.
